Short animated film by Bulgarian artist Kaloyan Atanassov receives the 43rd Student Academy Award®. The Wishgranter is a beautiful piece of animation telling a wonderful story about wishes, dreams and how not to give up on them.

The film was created as school project at Ringling College of Art + Design, by Computer Animation students - Kaloyan Atanassov, John McDonald, and Echo Wu.

The story takes place in a beautiful magic world where the apathetic  Wishgranter is controlling the wish machine. Being bored to make everybody’s wish come true, he is living under a fountain having no touch with reality. But when two lonely wishers toss their coins into the fountain, something beautiful happens…

Receiving the Silver Student Academy Award in Animation of The Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The film received various awards at international film festivals in Rome, Paris and Trinity, not to mention the recognition of the National Society of Film Critics (NSFC), “Best Student Film Award" at the Miami Independent Film Festival and "Best Film by a Student From Outside of Santa Barbara County" at the Santa Barbara Student Film Festival!
